Beauty: Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Spot Treatment

Saturday, April 07, 2018

You guys may remember me posting about an interesting looking mask that lit up my face in purple/pink tones to help combat acne (and I heard it all - some thought I looked like Tron, others said Iron (wo)man, and someone even said I look like I'm welding LOL) welllll guess what!! Your fav mask has become even more convenient to use, now available in this mini pocket sized version for spot treatment! I'm personally so excited as it's more practical to carry around for travelling which is when I break out more. This is perfect for me because I tend to have really stubborn acne in specific areas of my face while the rest of my face is pretty clear. I was always told adult acne would be less annoying than teenage acne but it's actually more difficult!

For years, Neutrogena has been one of my favourite drugstore skincare brands and I love them even more for these light therapy masks. So how does it work? The energy from red and blue lights gently filters through skin and has been scientifically shown to target acne-causing bacteria, reducing the appearance of breakouts - the red light reduces inflammation, while the blue light targets acne-causing bacteria. Turn on the applicator, gently place it over the skin, hold for 2 minutes, 3x a day. This acne treatment is ideal for those with mild-moderate acne and sensitive skin. I mentioned this before and I'll mention again, this mask does not make your acne go away permanently nor does it promise you won't get a pimple again, but it definitely shortens the lifespan of them. Without any treatment, pimples can stay active for four days or more before they start to reduce in size.
When I was using the mask, I noticed my hormonal acne was not as painful or big and didn't last as long. Amen to that! Get yours today - available now at Shoppers Drug Mart

I demo'ed this below for you guys - check out how easy it is to zit zap on the go now!
