Laduree High Tea Toronto

Tuesday, March 20, 2018

Laduree's first Toronto location finally opened last year and one of my best gal pals treated me to high tea for my birthday last week (the hype has died down but it's still busy AF) They only take reservations Monday-Friday 9-5pm so it's best to go during then if you're schedule allows. I went on a Thursday at 2pm, and even then, it was pretty packed!
The decor didn't fail to impress - if you're familiar with Laduree, you already know what to expect: macaron towers, lots of girly pink and green decor, pretty chandeliers and a very Marie Antoinette-esque vibe.
Their high tea is priced at $50/pp and includes finger sandwiches, finger desserts, madeleines in lieu of scones, and macarons (you choose 2 flavours). To be honest, I wasn't a big fan of the madeleines and would have preferred scones instead.
Keeping it short and simple, I liked my macarons and the mini raspberry lemon tart but I barely ate any of the other food because they were either really odd flavours or just not good at all. I was SO disappointed!!
I'm not sure I want to try anything else on the menu next time. I may just play it safe and stick to the macarons.

What did you guys think? Is there anything on the menu that you really liked and that I should try? Drop a line below! x
