2016 Beauty Products I Regret Buying

Wednesday, January 25, 2017

This list is just my personal opinion and my personal experience - you may have your own and that's cool too but if anyone's interested, here goes!

The Beauty Blender
Don't get me wrong, I do use it everyday and enjoy it for the most part but I do feel it is overhyped. I use it because its small and easy to carry around but in no way do I think someone should pay $28+tax for it lol I luckily got mine during boxing day at Sephora when they had a 2-for-1 deal and it was only $12! I am so glad I got it on sale because I don't think its worth what its regular price is. This is nothing different from a sponge dupe you can find elsewhere. Makeup stains also don't always come off and the sponge eventually rips a bit.
Vanity Planet Spin For Perfect Skin
I've seen several other bloggers use this spin brush and I also saw it on Groupon alot and it was only about $20-30 I think so I decided to give it a 'spin' (sorry I had to hehe). It's an OKAY brush...I guess it does a decent job at cleaning off my makeup but not sure what else it really does for my skin though. I don't think it exfoliates it much and the brushes need to be replaced every 2-3 months which is too high maintenance for me because Im lazy :D
Revlon Equave Instant Beauty Hydro Nutritive Detangling Conditioner
This conditioner is also again just OK. It has a really pleasant sweet scent but it's not that moisturizing. I guess this is ok for the summertime if you just need a quick light spritz but if you were actually looking for a real hydrating leave-in conditioner or something for winter, don't get this. I used The Innate Life's rose oil (in my previous beauty post) instead of this and that made a much bigger impact on my hair! Also the price tag on this is sooo not worth!
Shiseido The Skincare Purifying Mask
I normally love Shiseido skincare and makeup but this one is a definite 'pass'.I got this on sale at a warehouse (luckily) because the regular price for this is also just not worth the results. I normally like 'purifying' types of masks and clay/mud textures but this one didn't do anything for my skin. It didn't make it worse, didn't make it better.
Shiseido Cleansing Massage Brush
This brush is also overpriced for the results you get from it which is pretty much nothing. I don't feel like it helps clean my face any better than I do without it. I also luckily got this at their warehouse sale so I didn't waste too much money on it.

Have you guys tried any of these? What did you think? xo
