Skincare: Beauty Oils

Tuesday, December 06, 2016

As someone with oily/combination skin, I always cringed at the mention of using oils on my face or having anyone suggest that I even touch them. Im sure everyone's heard this story time and time and I'm sure everyone's read enough beauty articles to know that some oils are actually ok for your skin and hair and wont clog your pores contrary to old beliefs. In actual fact, your skin can be oily because its dry and lacking hydration that it compensates for this by creating oil. With this in mind, I'm here today to review two beauty oils by Eden's Semilla that I've tested for a week so far on my hair, skin and nails.

  • Helps repair damaged skin, provides hydration for dry skin and provides relief for skin irritation and sunburn
  • Great solution to tangle free silky smooth hair.
100% Pure Organic Jojoba Oil

  • Certified Organic
  • Natural Oil Moisturiser for Radiant Looking Skin, Silky Smooth Hair and Strong Nails

  • Cold Pressed & Unrefined"
So its been a week now - I havent used them on my face because Im testing out other products right now but Ive been using it on my hair, nails, lips and body as moisturizer and I do quite like it. The oils absorb quickly and leave my skin feeling more soft. It doesnt transfer to my clothes or on my bed either. I put it on the middle-end of my hair and it keeps it moisturized and soft throughout the day which I especially like since Canadian winters are harsh and make my hair really dry and static-y. This helped combat ALL the static which is another bonus! I also dont feel like its heavy or greasy in my hair or hands when applied to my nails and the skin around my nails which also tend to get dry easily.
The only thing I dont love about it is the applicator/dropper - it leaks the oil and drips everywhere so its a mess if youre not careful.
